Uses the standard UK trade figure of 60 bricks per m² for a single-skin wall built with standard metric bricks and 10mm mortar joints. A cavity wall doubles this, since it's built as two separate skins with a gap between them. Your chosen waste percentage is then added, and the total rounds up to a whole brick.
